After several years of working as a journalist he moved to London and it is there where Barrie wrote the play <em>Peter Pan.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>James&#8217;s first marriage ended in divorce after several years. Barrie befriended <strong>Arthur and Sylvia Davies<\/strong> and ultimately adopted their five boys. James told his boys tales of a boy who would not grow up. These stories became the basis for Peter Pan and the lost boys of Never Land.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&#8220;You see, Wendy, when the first baby laughed for the first time, its laugh broke into a thousand pieces, and they all went skipping about, and that was the beginning of fairies.&#8221; Peter Pan is one of those characters who became more famous than his creator.
