Readers immediately recognize their distinctive style on books such as <i>The Hundred Penny Box<\/i> (1975), the Caldecott Award winning books <i>Why Mosquitoes Buzz in People&#8217;s Ears<\/i> (1975) and <i>Ashanti to Zulu<\/i> (1976), and Leontyne Price&#8217;s retelling of<i> Aida <\/i>(1990).
