WonÂderÂful quote, Lynne. But, oh, so hard to achieve some days. I was a comÂplete basÂket case the two weeks between the insurÂrecÂtion (because that’s what it was) and the inauÂguÂraÂtion. We are tired of being vicÂtims. Now maybe we can impleÂment the words of that quote. P.S.: I love your column!
Thanks, CanÂdace, so glad you like the colÂumn! And yes, it’s been hard to get away from paralÂyÂsis and just do our work, right? CriÂsis in our cities in the sumÂmer, criÂsis in our CapiÂtol this winÂter, and Covid on top of everyÂthing has made it a very tough year. But perÂsisÂtence, faith, and courage is still in style, and when we bring it to the table, it makes a difÂferÂence both in our work and in the world.
